It takes a certain kind of person to succeed as a nurse. They have to be the kind of person who is willing to work long hours, have the patience to deal with very ill people and be willing to do jobs that some people might find a bit gross. In short, they have to be the type of person who enjoys helping other people and making a difference in their lives. Akudo Joy Adiboshi is one such person. She often spends her free time volunteering at various homeless shelters and other charitable organizations in her community.
In the wake of the 2008 economic downturn, homelessness has become a growing problem in the United States as many people lost their jobs and homes. While the economy is slowly improving and jobs are returning, there are still a number of people who are homeless. The causes of homelessness are rather complex and are dependent on many different factors, but two of the most common are an inability to find work or some sort of untreated mental illness that makes it difficult to function on their own. Various religious and charitable organizations have stepped up to help take care of those less fortunate. These organizations are non-profits and are often funded and staffed by volunteers willing to give their time and money to take care of the neediest among us.
